Family Run
Nurturing Earthlings is run by Rosie, her two sisters, Katie and Sophie, her mum, Caroline and her dad, Martin. It is situated in a stunning setting in East Sussex with wildlife aplenty! The children will often be able to spot fallow deer, pheasants, buzzards, red kites, mallard ducks and rabbits. In the next door field, there is also a beautiful Highland Cow named Gunner who everybody loves trying to spot!

Rosie
Rosie was a primary school teacher for seven years before setting up Nurturing Earthlings in 2021. She has taught from Reception to Year 6 and loves working with children. Rosie finds her work as a Drawing and Talking Practitioner deeply rewarding alongside her private tuition sessions for children who benefit from the focus of 1:1.

Rosie is a Forest School Leader and Children's Forest Facilitator and particularly enjoys using the outdoors to bring learning to life through exploration, play and encouraging curiosity. It has been a lifelong dream of Rosie's to set up her own space where children can connect with nature, lead their own learning and find out about the world around them through their own observations, stories and songs. Rosie loves running small groups so children can form relationships with each other on a deeper level, fostering emotional intelligence.

Katie
Katie is one of the leaders running Monday Earthlings, Tuesday 'Tween Tribe and Friday fortnightly Social Tuition. She loves being a home education mentor, finding ways to spark the children's curiosity and weaving movement, mindfulness, connection and nourishing nature time into her groups with the children. She has been a dance teacher for 10 years, she qualified with a First Class Honours degree in French and Spanish 15 years ago and is a level 3 Forest School Leader. She has enhanced DBS and is trained in Outdoor First Aid and is a Safeguarding Lead.

Sophie
Sophie was a centre director of a tuition centre for 10 years before leaving to have her son. She has worked with children aged from 4 to 14 and her particular interests lie with the arts including drama and singing. Sophie loves working with children and especially enjoys the imaginative side of learning, such as role-play. She loves to find her inner child to play games, have fun and create team building activities for both the children and adults to get involved with!
Caroline
Caroline has taught in both primary and secondary schools as a French and Spanish teacher. She was a languages teacher for 10 years before her first grandchild arrived. Like Katie, Caroline is a talented linguist and loves to encourage children to learn languages through songs, role-play and games. Caroline's favourite place is to be outdoors in nature, spending time giving back to the earth through planting trees and food, sending gratitude to the woods and taking time to just 'be'. She has qualified more recently in Sound Healing and is enthusiastic about giving children the opportunity to explore sounds through different instruments.

Martin
Martin is very much the 'handy-man' of Nurturing Earthlings! He is very often on site to help if anything needs fixing or changing. Martin absolutely loves being outdoors and especially enjoys the bushcraft element of learning. For example, he loves helping children to build fires, aiding them in using a bow saw or pruning saw and also enjoys identifying plant and trees in the woods. Martin is in charge of woodland management and deer-proofing saplings when they're planted in the field!
